RheaVita markets an innovative continuous freeze-drying technology for biopharmaceutical products
Our manufacturing approach saves companies time and money, guarantees product quality and offers the supply chain greater flexibility, compared to traditional batch freeze-drying. RheaVita sells units for R&D purposes, and full GMP systems. RheaVita also offers CDMO services: We develop freeze-drying processes, design optimal formulations for vaccines and biopharmaceuticals, and we produce stability batches.
RheaVita has entered a strategic partnership with IMA Life, a global provider of advanced, aseptic pharmaceutical process and production solutions.
History of RheaVita
The initial process concept originated in 2012, when Ir. Jos Corver and Dr. Thomas De Beer met. Jos Corver, with a background in pharmaceutical freeze-drying equipment, and Thomas De Beer, with an academic background in pharmaceutical sciences with a focus on continuous manufacturing and metrology, formed a great complementary team.
With the support of Ghent University, a first prototype was developed in 2018. This led to the founding of RheaVita.
